“Summer Garden" is a mixed media/fiber piece based on the wonderful green water and foliage in the garden called “Chinampa”. “Chinampa” is a magical place; it is only an hour outside of Mexico City but is almost surreal in its sense of peace and beauty. I was on a trip with my friend Robin, and she took our group on a slow boat ride floating through this place of green, and more green. It is a floating garden and the colors and movement of the slowly, flowing water inspired this piece.
