“The Desert” mixed media/fiber art work. This piece studies the beautiful Springtime desert when the cacti are blooming.

I often visit my brother and his wife in Tucson, Arizona in March. This is the time of year when the desert is at its most glorious, best. I have always loved the unique cactus that grow only in this section of the Sonora Desert. But in the Spring, many of the cactus sprout beautiful flowers.

This piece is a small study of the desert in a close-up view.
